TNT’s Allie LaForce, former Indians pitcher Joe Smith donate hundreds of meals to hospital workers

CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Turner Sports reporter Allie LaForce and her husband, Houston Astros pitcher Joe Smith, have been hunkered down in a rental home near the team’s spring training facility in West Palm Beach for the past month.

“We’re day-by-day like everybody else,” LaForce, a Vermilion native, says. “Spending quality time together, going for walks, hanging out with the dog, and Netflix."

But on top of that, the couple, who met while she was a sports reporter at Fox 8 WJW and he played for the Indians, are doing what they can to help people in need during this crisis.
