Project Frontline wants to put restaurants back to work while providing meals to healthcare workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic.

With bars and restaurants having to stay closed, Oravec said the donations that helped pay for these meals are a great way to keep everyone working and at the same time and more importantly, letting healthcare workers know that their hard work is appreciated.

Houston Astros pitcher Joe Smith and his wife, TNT sports reporter Allie LaForce partnered with Project FRONTLINE to deliver more than 600 meals to hospitals from restaurants in the Houston and Cleveland areas.

MLB.com said this is all with the help of online donations to Project FRONTLINE. Project FRONTLINE will donate 250 meals to Mercy Hospital in Lorain to medical workers on Wednesday.
